What Is Cosmetic Dentistry?
There are a few reasons why you may be self-conscious about how your smile looks, such as genetic conditions or problems caused by injury, trauma, and lifestyle. Cosmetic dentistry at Rise and Shine Dentistry consists of several treatments that can whiten, straighten, and reshape your teeth to give you a more attractive smile. The most common treatments are veneers, teeth whitening, bonding and contouring, and restorations like crowns and bridges. During your initial consultation at our office in Rock Hill, SC, Dr. Klein will help you decide on a personalized plan to create your best smile.
How Does Cosmetic Dentistry Work?
At the beginning of your consultation with Dr. Klein, he will examine the condition of your gums and teeth to determine if your mouth is strong enough for cosmetic procedures. He will then work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses your unique concerns and goals. Once your plan is created, Dr. Klein will explain the next steps and schedule your treatments at our Rock Hill, SC office. Certain services, such as dental bonding or teeth whitening, will only take a single appointment. Other procedures, like teeth straightening, restorations, or veneers, will require several appointments.

Rise and Shine Dentistry Reviews
Rise and Shine Dentistry has been a life (and tooth) saver. Doctor Klein was very patient and kind while completing a root canal on one of my teeth. He was extremely helpful by helping me with this emergency on his day off. What an extremely kind Doctor. His outstanding service was exceptional. His staff is incredibly kind and helpful as well. Even during inclement weather from Hurricane Helene, one of the staff came in just to help check the condition of my teeth. I was in pain and they responded so quickly. I am extremely satisfied with this dentist. I wish I could give them bonus stars on this rating. Seriously, if you are ever in need of a dentist, I beg you to go to Rise and Shine Dentistry.
It’s like having a cheering squad. 🤗 This a great place to get your mouth and teeth taken cared of. Love having Winnie the little dog to keep a patient calm. Dr. Kline and staff are great!
Dr. Kline and his staff so kind and caring.
Everyone at Rise and Shine is so nice! My dental hygienist, Brooke, and Dr. Klein were great to work with.
I wish I could give more stars!! Absolutely would recommend- From the time I walked in the door, I was greeted by two beautiful smiling women who made the check in a breeze- My dental hygienist was Brooke, she was outgoing, personable, explained everything to me and kept me pain free during my cleaning! Dr. Klein was very kind, knowledgeable and took his time to go over a treatment plan for me before getting Invisalign. I highly recommend this office!!

Am I a Candidate for Cosmetic Dentistry?
Cosmetic dental procedures can enhance your smile by addressing issues like tooth discoloration, broken or missing teeth, and a gummy smile. Often, multiple cosmetic treatments are combined for more dramatic results. Restorations such as bridges and crowns can also be included in your plan to further improve your smile. However, it's essential that your teeth and gums are healthy before undergoing any cosmetic treatments to prevent worsening or triggering problems like gum disease or tooth sensitivity.
Cosmetic Dentistry FAQ
Is cosmetic dentistry only for improving aesthetics?
While the primary focus of cosmetic dentistry is to enhance the appearance of teeth and smile, many procedures also offer functional benefits. For example, dental crowns can restore the structure and strength of a damaged tooth, while dental implants can replace missing teeth and improve oral functionality. Cosmetic dentistry strives to achieve both aesthetic and functional improvements for patients.
How long do the results of cosmetic dentistry last?
The longevity of cosmetic dentistry results varies depending on several factors, including the type of procedure, oral hygiene practices, lifestyle habits, and overall oral health. Many cosmetic treatments can last for several years or even decades with proper care. It's essential to maintain good oral hygiene, visit the dentist regularly, and follow any specific instructions provided by the dentist to maximize the longevity of cosmetic dental work.
How do I maintain my results after a cosmetic dentistry procedure?
Maintaining good oral hygiene practices such as regular brushing, flossing, and dental check-ups is essential. Avoiding foods and drinks that can stain or damage your teeth will also help preserve your results.
