What Are Dental Crowns?
Individual teeth that have incurred a fair amount of decay or damage can typically be repaired with a dental crown. Rise and Shine Dentistry is pleased to offer dental crowns to help protect and cover the visible part of an individual tooth while restoring its size and shape. Crowns are designed to mimic natural teeth. Dr. Klein frequently utilizes dental crowns to fix fractured teeth, decayed teeth, oddly shaped teeth, and other types of tooth damage. These restorations can also be merged into a group to function as a dental bridge or placed over individual implants to restore teeth that have been lost. Schedule a consultation at our practice in Rock Hill, SC to find out if a crown could restore the health and aesthetics of your smile.
How Are Dental Crowns Placed?
Dental crowns are placed at our office in Rock Hill, SC, typically in two appointments. During your initial appointment, Dr. Klein will numb the treatment area in your mouth to ensure you remain comfortable during your treatments. Other sedation options may be recommended for patients with a strong gag reflex or severe dental fears and anxieties. Once the damaged portion of the tooth has been addressed, an impression of the prepared tooth will be taken and sent to a dental lab to create your dental crown. A temporary restoration will be placed over your tooth to maintain oral function and a natural-looking appearance while your customized crown is being made. It can take about 7 – 14 days for the crown to arrive. When you return to have your crown placed, the temporary crown will be removed, and the new crown will be placed on your tooth or dental implant post.

Rise and Shine Dentistry Reviews
Rise and Shine Dentistry has been a life (and tooth) saver. Doctor Klein was very patient and kind while completing a root canal on one of my teeth. He was extremely helpful by helping me with this emergency on his day off. What an extremely kind Doctor. His outstanding service was exceptional. His staff is incredibly kind and helpful as well. Even during inclement weather from Hurricane Helene, one of the staff came in just to help check the condition of my teeth. I was in pain and they responded so quickly. I am extremely satisfied with this dentist. I wish I could give them bonus stars on this rating. Seriously, if you are ever in need of a dentist, I beg you to go to Rise and Shine Dentistry.
It’s like having a cheering squad. 🤗 This a great place to get your mouth and teeth taken cared of. Love having Winnie the little dog to keep a patient calm. Dr. Kline and staff are great!
Dr. Kline and his staff so kind and caring.
Everyone at Rise and Shine is so nice! My dental hygienist, Brooke, and Dr. Klein were great to work with.
I wish I could give more stars!! Absolutely would recommend- From the time I walked in the door, I was greeted by two beautiful smiling women who made the check in a breeze- My dental hygienist was Brooke, she was outgoing, personable, explained everything to me and kept me pain free during my cleaning! Dr. Klein was very kind, knowledgeable and took his time to go over a treatment plan for me before getting Invisalign. I highly recommend this office!!

Dental Crowns FAQ
Will my dental crown look natural?
Yes, it will. Dr. Klein makes dental crowns with color-matched custom-milled porcelain that will match your natural teeth' color, shape, and size, so only you will know that you have a dental crown.
Does getting a dental crown hurt?
No, most patients do not experience pain or discomfort while having a dental crown placed. Dr. Klein uses a local anesthetic to numb the tooth to be treated completely. With her skill and years of experience, Dr. Klein works to ensure your dental crown procedure is quick, effective, easy, and, most of all, comfortable.
How long does a dental crown last?
Depending on which tooth was treated and your overall oral health, a dental crown can typically last up to 10 years or longer with regular brushing, flossing, and dental checkups at Rise and Shine Dentistry.
