What Are 3D Impressions?
Getting physical impressions of your mouth used to be considered a long and sometimes uncomfortable process. Physical impressions ask that you bite into a mold for extended intervals, which can be problematic for patients with a strong gag reflex. This is why Dr. Klein is pleased to offer a modern solution to physical molds with 3D impressions. Utilizing the advanced technology of intraoral cameras, 3D (also known as electronic) impressions take precise scans of your teeth. This allows us to make an accurate model of your mouth that can be employed to create dental restorations, like implants, crowns, inlays, onlays, dentures, and more. If you are needing restorative dental care, avoid the time and stress of physical molds using 3D impressions at Rise and Shine Dentistry in Rock Hill, SC.
How Are 3D Impressions Performed?
3D impressions are performed at our office while you relax in a treatment chair as Dr. Klein moves a small scanning wand all around your mouth. This tool uses safe wavelengths to precisely capture all regions, crevices, and corners of your teeth. Once the scan is finished, a model of your teeth will soon show up on the screen. If any areas were overlooked during the initial scan, a simple re-scan can be performed to capture the needed areas, rather than using physical molds that would necessitate the whole procedure to be redone.
What Are the Benefits of 3D Impressions?
3D dental impressions represent a giant leap forward in dental technology, offering both dentists and patients exceptional precision and comfort during the process. This advanced technique offers several benefits that enhance the overall dental experience. Key advantages include:
- Increased accuracy
- Enhanced patient comfort compared to traditional impressions
- Faster turnaround times
- Improved treatment planning
- Digital storage
Rise and Shine Dentistry Reviews
Rise and Shine Dentistry has been a life (and tooth) saver. Doctor Klein was very patient and kind while completing a root canal on one of my teeth. He was extremely helpful by helping me with this emergency on his day off. What an extremely kind Doctor. His outstanding service was exceptional. His staff is incredibly kind and helpful as well. Even during inclement weather from Hurricane Helene, one of the staff came in just to help check the condition of my teeth. I was in pain and they responded so quickly. I am extremely satisfied with this dentist. I wish I could give them bonus stars on this rating. Seriously, if you are ever in need of a dentist, I beg you to go to Rise and Shine Dentistry.
It’s like having a cheering squad. 🤗 This a great place to get your mouth and teeth taken cared of. Love having Winnie the little dog to keep a patient calm. Dr. Kline and staff are great!
Dr. Kline and his staff so kind and caring.
Everyone at Rise and Shine is so nice! My dental hygienist, Brooke, and Dr. Klein were great to work with.
I wish I could give more stars!! Absolutely would recommend- From the time I walked in the door, I was greeted by two beautiful smiling women who made the check in a breeze- My dental hygienist was Brooke, she was outgoing, personable, explained everything to me and kept me pain free during my cleaning! Dr. Klein was very kind, knowledgeable and took his time to go over a treatment plan for me before getting Invisalign. I highly recommend this office!!
